Isn’t that lurvely? I’m always prattling on about the comparability of typefaces to machines – about running speeds and tendencies to overheat – but it’s much nicer to imagine houses this way.

Of course the 85%-of-everything-is-crap rule (arbitrarily arrived at one recent day, when it seemed like 85% of everything was crap) applies to houses as well as anything else. Anything, that is, except for actual crap: that runs a steady 100%.

So yeah, houses.
