Refer, Word Cleaner · 10 July 2003

Refer 2.02 2.03 is now available. Fixed a bunch of silliness, added the ability to prevent recording of referrers on specific directories, and patched a potential security vulnerability. It’s also running about ten times faster than before, but as God is my witness, I have no idea why.

This site’s Word HTML Cleaner has been improved as well: it now no longer strips useful attributes from image tags, hyperlinks and tables, and is generally behaving in a more grownup fashion.

One could conclude from the vigorous workout the Word HTML cleaner is getting from Monday to Friday each week (usage drops off on the weekend) that most of those benefitting from it are doing so at work. If you’re one of them, do keep in mind that there’s no shame in having your employer pay for services that make your job easier. Hell, I’ll even send an impeccably typeset receipt.

Also, companies interested in licensing installations of the Word cleaner as part of their editorial flow can contact me for more information.
